Residential lighting (make rooms work better)

We help you pick fittings that match each room: warm, comfortable light for lounges and bedrooms; focused task lighting for kitchens; soft, even light for bathrooms and studies.

We plan switch positions, dimmers and 2-way/3-way control so the house is easy to live in. Upgrading to LED downlights and bulbs reduces heat, cuts bills and plays nicely with backup power—your inverter keeps essentials on longer when lights are efficient.

Commercial & industrial lighting (see clearly, work safely)

Shops need bright, colour-accurate light that makes products look good; offices need glare-controlled, even lighting so people don’t squint; workshops and warehouses need high bays that reach the floor with real brightness, not just watts on a box.

We size fittings to height and area, space them for even coverage, and choose optics that put light where you need it—aisles, benches, counters and picking zones. Labels and isolators are placed where staff can reach them safely.

Outdoor & security lighting

Outdoor lights live a hard life: weather, dust and spikes when power returns. We use weather-rated fittings, tidy junctions in proper enclosures, and add motion sensors (PIR), timers or photocells so lights come on only when needed.

For car parks, yards and perimeters we combine floodlights with sensors and, where required, emergency lighting for safe evacuation.

Energy efficiency & controls (save watts without thinking)

LEDs cut power; smart controls cut it further. We use motion sensors in low-traffic areas (passages, stores, bathrooms), daylight sensors near windows, and timers where you want regular on/off schedules.

Dimmers set the mood at home and reduce glare in meeting rooms. The result is less waste, better comfort, and longer runtime on your inverter during load-shedding.

Design & placement (no guesswork)

We start by asking how you use each space, then place fittings for coverage without “hot spots” or dark corners.

In offices and shops we keep light even and reduce glare; in homes we layer light—general, task and accent—so rooms feel warm, not flat. On high roofs we choose beam angles that actually reach the floor and avoid lighting the rafters.

LED retrofits and migrations

Swapping old lamps for LED one-for-one is the quick win; full fitting replacements give the best result. We check dimmer compatibility, fix flicker, and remove noisy transformers where needed.

Where fluorescents remain, we can plan a phased changeover to LED so you’re not replacing tubes every few months.

Emergency lighting & exit signs (business)

For clinics, offices, shops and public areas we install emergency fittings and exit signs so people can see and move safely during outages. We place test switches where you can reach them, label circuits and show you a simple monthly check routine.

If you have backup power, we coordinate which areas stay lit on inverter/generator and which rely on self-contained emergency fittings.

Protection, DB work & surge planning

Lighting only behaves if protection is right. We size breakers to cable, fit RCD/RCBO protection where required, and add surge protection in the board so LEDs and drivers don’t keep failing after ZETDC power returns.

We also tidy terminations and separate neutrals to stop “mystery” trips on mixed circuits.

Installation day: what to expect

We walk the site with you, confirm switch positions and fitting choices, then work cleanly—conduit or trunking where needed, sealed penetrations, and tidy terminations.

At handover we test, label, and show you how sensors, dimmers and timers work. You’ll know which lights are on backup and which aren’t.

Three-phase sites & small industry

For factories and large warehouses we balance phases, choose drivers that play nicely with your supply, and protect motors and panels from lighting surges. We label isolators and provide simple SOPs so staff know what to do during load-shedding.
